Jerry Langland
Ph.D. - Founder and Partner SHG Services

Jerry Langland is the head of SHG Services Technology and Data Services Division, as well as Sales and Marketing. Jerry has over 20 years of IT consulting, architecture and management experience. Jerry is also the founder and President of Software Guru, an IT consulting firm. Jerry has been building data collection, distribution and analysis systems for over 15 years and has been focused on Financial Services for the last decade. Jerry is one of the original founding directors of Insignis, and was head of both Technology Consulting and Systems Development at Envestnet Asset Management.

Jerry's core focus is on engineering 360 Degree Financial Services Reporting and facilitating Straight Through Processing. Jerry has built multiple Data Aggregation, Trading, Portfolio and Risk Management Systems for both institutional and retail segments. Jerry has a Ph.D. and M.S. in High Energy Physics from the University of Iowa, and a B.S. in Physics and Mathematics from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology.

Verne Scazzero
MBA, CFA - Founder and Partner SHG Services

Verne Scazzero, is in charge of SHG Services Investment Services and Operations Division, where, in addition to overseeing our back office operations team, he provides in depth analysis and assessments of our clients' operational and informational needs. Verne has nearly 20 years of Financial Services experience and over 17 years of direct Portfolio Management experience. In addition to SHG Services, Verne is the Founder and CEO of Harvest Investments where he oversees daily investment review and auditing on a wide range of portfolio types across several industries. Prior to founding SHG Services, Verne was the SVP of operations for Envestnet Asset Management where he developed operational procedures and policy and oversaw all back office operations for daily accounting and performance reporting on over $6 Billion in assets. Before Envestnet, Verne managed an $800 million diversified fixed income portfolio for First Colonial. Verne has also managed investment portfolios for other banks, insurance companies, not-for-profits, and individuals, as well as provided investment-related review and consulting services. Verne is highly experienced in building systems and operational infrastructure required to support institutional investment management and web-based reporting for investment management and wrap firms.

Verne has a Masters in Management from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelors Degree in Economics and History from Cornell University. Verne is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
