Asset Types

The Security Master Service supports nearly every asset type available. The level of detail we can provide on each asset type is limited by the asset type and the available data sources.

Equity
Standard Equity products are fully supported and there is a wealth of information available on most products. Sub types include: US Common & Preferred, ADR, Foreign Common & Preferred, US & Foreign Convertibles.

Mutual & Commingled Funds
We can arrange data feeds for broad support in these categories, however the level of detail and transparency into a fund varies from fund to fund. In many cases it is possible to obtain a detailed fund break down for attribution and performance comparisons, although this can be delayed by a quarter or more depending on the reporting characteristics of the fund. Standardized fund performance data is generally available for most funds.

Separately Managed Accounts & Wraps
Separately Managed Accounts are not an Asset Type. They are true accounts owned by an individual or institution. They are thus unique to a particular firm. We can however, arrange to provide you with Manager information on their particular Styles. (Manger+Style=SMA Product) We can also provide you assistance in acquiring and viewing performance information on your own separately managed accounts; this however, is a different service: DataAggregation.com.

Fixed Income
We can provide extensive detail for most standard FI products including: US Treasury, Agency, Municipal, Corporate, ABS, MBS-Pools, MBS-CMO and Money Markets and Foreign Sovereign. We also support Non-US Corporate, Municipal and Other products, however the level of detail varies with the country of origin and the security itself.

FX, Swaps, Futures, Commodities and Options
We can support Futures, Commodities and Options in one of two methods, either at the level required for standard portfolio accounting or at the level required for Futures, Commodities and Options accounting. Exchange traded products provide a wealth of available data and are readily researched. FX & standard Swaps generally present no difficulty, but may have limited useful detail depending on your application. Custom/OTC products can be complicated and the level of detail available varies and often involves the use of internal sources.

Alternative Investments
Depending on the investment, the level of detail can vary significantly. Typically this category requires the most extensive research and is subject to some of the longest delays in reporting. Examples include Limited Partnerships and VC Funds.
